Enrollment Procedure

CFK is a privately owned, state licensed center, which operates solely on tuition fees. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, creed or religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, ancestry, or handicap.

Enrollment is taken on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. However, priority enrollment is given to currently enrolled families. A registration fee of $50, the annual supply fee of $45 per child or $60 per family and the first week’s tuition is required to hold your child’s spot. Families with more than one child enrolled full-time will be granted a 15% discount off the oldest child. This does include school age children on breaks throughout the school year. These fees are non-refundable. However, your child’s spot will only be held for 30 days after your initial start day otherwise you will lose your spot and tuition fees will be non-refundable. Parents are encouraged to visit the center to discuss the program needs of your child prior to registering.

If you are interested in enrolling, please call to check on availability and to arrange a time to come and tour the center. Please allow at least 30 minutes for your visit. Tour appointments are given between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Clubhouse does not hold spots.

If there are no openings available at the time, your name will be added to our waiting list. Once an opening becomes available you will be contacted to see if you are still interested. There is no charge to be put on the waiting list.

Payment Procedures

There are two options for paying your child’s tuition each Friday. The first is to pay weekly through the payment process of ACH which comes out each Friday. If you elect not to use the ACH method, a $15 administrative fee will need to be added to each weeks tuition check. Any fees paid after Friday will be charged a $10 late fee per day. A $35 fee will be charged for any checks returned due to being in-sufficient. No refunds or make-up days are permitted for absences due to illness, holidays, or inclement weather. There may be extra charges for special activities or field trips. Parents will be notified in advance.

A tuition and fee schedule will be provided to each family upon enrollment. This tuition and fee schedule is subject to change at any time without notice-usually June of each year.

Positive Guidance

Clubhouse For Kids discipline approach can be summed up into one word “positive”. Children learn best through positive experiences. The center is concerned with the child’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being. The center’s policies are designed to help children develop self-control, self-esteem, problem solving and respect for others.

Children thrive in an environment of being valued and loved, therefore our teachers use praise and positive reinforcement in order to help children feel they are of value and self-worth. Weekly lesson plans include daily activities to enhance cooperative play and respect for others. Teachers facilitate the development of self-control in children by using positive guidance techniques such as modeling and encouraging expected behavior, redirecting children to a more acceptable activity, and setting clear limits. Teacher expectation’s match and respects children developing capabilities. The center does follow and use the 1-2-3 Magic approach.

Nutritional Policy

Clubhouse For Kids provides nutritious, balanced meals and snacks that meet the nutritional requirements of the food program and state licensing rules. The center will provide snacks and lunch to all children present at the time of preparation, including school-age children. Menus include a wide range of food types and reflect a variety of cultures and ethnic diversity. Meals are prepared on site in our fully equipped kitchen.

Infants under 6 months must be served formula or breast milk. Parents supply formula and baby food until the child is old enough to be on table foods.

If a child has a special diet, parents will provide a substitute food when necessary (allergies, religious or cultural dietary restrictions, etc).

Health Policy

In order to protect the health of other children and persons, children that are ill should not be brought to the center. If your child becomes ill while at the center, he or she will be kept isolated in order to reduce the risk of illness to others until a parent or emergency contact person has been notified. Ill children must be picked up within the hour. Children may return after 24 hours only if they are symptom free and pain reliever free. If your child is well enough to come to the center, he or she will be expected to participate in all activities including outdoor play.

All injuries will be treated promptly and with concern. The center has first aid supplies on hand at all times. The staff is trained in First Aid and all have CPR and AED certifications.

Security System

Clubhouse For Kids has a security system to ensure the safety of all children and staff. The main door can only be accessed through the use of a security card. This way we can control who enters the center and it is not accessible to the public.

Other Emergencies

In other emergencies such as power failure, physical plant problems or inclement weather, the center will close. In the event of a severe snowstorm or inclement weather, the center will be closed. We will be closed if Middleton-Cross Plains area schools are. The center may close during the day as well if conditions worsen. In this case, we will call parents at work to notify you at what time the center will be closing. However, the center will remain open until all the school-age children have arrived from school. There is no credit or fee reduction for days missed.
